Since we are still at the M school, we don't need to follow all the new county uniform rules. We also don't need school supplies, so it feels a little weird not really needing to get much.<br /><br />I'll be taking some pictures before and after school of Avery in her new classroom tomorrow.<br /><br />My mom has been here helping with Avery over the last couple weeks. It has been so nice to come home to a clean house and home cooked meals every night. Wow Mom, I am not sure I will know what to do next week when I have to cook and run Avery to all her lessons! We will all miss you.<br /><br />Before mom left, we took some pictures. Of course it was the hottest most humid day and we were all sweltering. <br /><br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view¤t=August2010SpringOonieAvery102_e.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/August2010SpringOonieAvery102_e.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view¤t=August2010SpringOonieAvery065_e.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/August2010SpringOonieAvery065_e.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view¤t=August2010SpringOonieAvery027_e.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/August2010SpringOonieAvery027_e.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view¤t=August2010SpringOonieAvery014_e.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/August2010SpringOonieAvery014_e.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1139170046674780280.post-9425221095418130992010-08-14T08:50:00.003-04:002010-08-14T09:20:26.928-04:00SummertimeAnother lake trip with friends.<br />Beautiful clouds at the end of the day.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=Beautifulsky.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/Beautifulsky.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Lauren, Avery & Rebecca tubing. When we got there Avery was shy for about 30 seconds and then I heard her best "ice breaker" comment to date; "Hey, look at my boo-boo". From that moment on, they were inseparable.<br /><br />There was a festival going on downtown, so we packed up and headed down to check it out.<br />About 5 minutes after getting there it started storming. So what would any normal parents do to get out of the rain? Head to the awning in front of the pub, of course! So there we are enjoying our brews while our childern run around in circles chasing each other and spashing in the rain puddles. Needless to say, we ALL had a great time.<br /><br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=AveryPub.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/AveryPub.jpg" /></a><br /><br />We later headed to the beach - IN THE RAIN. It wasn't storming and we figured we would be wet in the ocean anyway. It was raining too hard to take pictures with my camera, but the beach was beautiful.<br /><br />The next day we went to the beach again and since it wasn't raining that hard, I took my camera down and snapped a few. For some reason my pictures on this trip just didn't turn out that well.<br />This is Avery and Alexis running back from the waves to cover themselves in sand. Yes, I feel like I am still finding sand. :-)<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=AveryAlexisSandy.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/AveryAlexisSandy.jpg" /></a><br /><br />It's interesting hearing the response of people that think Avery looks like either myself or Scott. It seems to be 50/50. I never really see the strong Scott resemblance, but looking at this picture below, I can now see what all the "SHE LOOKS JUST LIKE SCOTT" people are seeing. It's like a little blonde mini-me.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=AveScottLookalike.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/AveScottLookalike.jpg" /></a><br /><br />We went to a more crowded beach on the 4th.<br />Avery and Alexis playing in the waves.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=AveryAlexiswavessplash.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/AveryAlexiswavessplash.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Scott tends to push Avery into being more adventurous that she would be on her own. This time he is taking her out in the ocean. By the end of the day she was asking him to go out.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=ScottAveryBeach.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/ScottAveryBeach.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Ocean view - all weekend those dark clouds were over us, this time they were in the distance.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view¤t=LakeWorthBeach.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/LakeWorthBeach.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />Before coming back home on the 5th, we stopped to have lunch at a great Italian restaurant - that also had an amazing Italian Market. You could tell it wasn't a very kid friendly place by the "kid cups" they offered us. No one seemed to mind and we managed not to get kicked out with 4 VERY ACTIVE children running around. Alexis & Nate enjoying the waters.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=AlexisNateCups.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/AlexisNateCups.jpg" /></a><br /><br />I just realized I didn't have that many good pictures to share and I didn't have any of Kira (their youngest). I'll do another scan of my photos and see if I can find a few more to put up.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1139170046674780280.post-21455606217271581102010-06-30T14:38:00.003-04:002010-06-30T21:36:52.914-04:00June - SC Beach TripWe went up to SC for a beach trip last weekend with the cousins. The drive with all the stops was about 8 hours - which was why I was able to finally spend some time on the blog. We had a wonderful time with the cousins - just wish it had been longer. Avery had the best time playing with the girls. So much so that she silently cried for about 30 minutes into our return trip home. <br /><br />Bobby & Scott on the water.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=BobbyScottBoat.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/BobbyScottBoat.jpg" /></a><br /><br />The girlies - Avery, Reid & Davis.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=Girlsontheboat.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/Girlsontheboat.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Sunset Cruise<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=sunset.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/sunset.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Any guesses who this might be? :)<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=AveryBoat.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/AveryBoat.jpg" /></a><br /><br />I got up early one morning all excited about fishing with Bobby and Scott. The pic below was my only photo of the morning because about 15 minutes later all I could do was lay down and stare at the sky or barf over the side of the boat. We were about 2-3 miles out in the ocean, but those consistant swells gave me some serious motion sickness. I hadn't had motion sickness in 17 years, but then again I have been only in mild waters since the sailing trip to the islands. I will not forget to take something before I go out in the seas again. I was so bummed that I felt so bad - I had really been looking forward to fishing with the guys. Oh well, next time.<br /><br />Here's a shot of the sun rising.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=sunrise.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/sunrise.jpg" /></a><br /><br />The girls had a blast on the beach.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=girlswater.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/girlswater.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Davis<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=davisbeach.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/davisbeach.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Avery kept running in and out of the water with the tube.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=averytube.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/averytube.jpg" /></a><br /><br />The girls really wanted to go to to the Pavillion down the street, so one afternoon we took them down to do one "ride".<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=averyjump.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/averyjump.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Reid<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=reidjump.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/reidjump.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Davis did lots of flips.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=davisjump.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/davisjump.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Avery got to experience her first ice cream truck and boy did she think that was cool. Around the 3rd swim lesson something in Avery just clicked and she lost some of her fears and started going under and swimming to the side of the pool all on her own. We have had 2 different instructors and both are excellent in different ways. Our latest instructor pushes her pretty hard, which I think is really working for her. We've also decided to join a pool this summer to get as much exposure as we can in the water. I am trying to get her to the pool 2-3 times a week. It was a hot weekend, so we picked up a pool for the girls to splash in. They also had fun with the sprinkler. Ava is such a sweet girl. Avery enjoyed having the companionship. As always, it's great spending time with them all.<br /><br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=mayaverypool.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/mayaverypool.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=mayaverycatapillarsprinkler.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/mayaverycatapillarsprinkler.jpg" /></a><br />Avery trying to spray the guys.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=mayaveryavaspray.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/mayaveryavaspray.jpg" /></a><br />Avery painting Ava's toes.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=mayaveavatoepolish.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/mayaveavatoepolish.jpg" /></a>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1139170046674780280.post-18011410409552737952010-06-27T13:05:00.002-04:002010-06-27T13:12:37.549-04:00May - Mother's Day PresentThe time had finally come-----MY NEW CAR! :-) I can't tell you how much I love having this car. It is amazing. We've taken a few long trips and everyone has been happy. It's much smaller than my other vehicle, but it really seems to have the same amount of interior space. It feels more like a car to me - not as heavy as the X and I can zip around town very easily.<br /><br />I have been informed that this car takes care of all my presents at least up through next Valentine's Day. <br /><br /><br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view¤t=mayspringnewcar.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/mayspringnewcar.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1139170046674780280.post-45672367521281726382010-06-27T10:29:00.002-04:002010-06-27T13:05:40.307-04:00May - Lake TripWe've been going out a lot lately with our friends on their boat. This time we were out of Lake Santa Fe. We usually pack lunch and spent the day cruising. The water warmed up quickly so we decided to do some tubing. Avery was terrified of the water (as you can see in the pics below). We decided this is the summer that she needs to learn to be comfortable in the water and the next week we signed her up for swim lessons all summer long. It really is a shame we don't have space on our property for a pool.<br /><br />This was my first time tubing in a loooong time. Loved it!<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=mayspringtubing.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/mayspringtubing.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Scott and Avery tubing.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=mayavescotttubing.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/mayavescotttubing.jpg" /></a><br /><br />They just flipped over. This year they did the Tikki Tikki Tembo. It was a classic Chinese children's story about a boy with long name. It was cute. Avery can be shy at times, but she really does a great job singing in front of a group. She takes it very seriously. <br /><br /><br />The Program - Avery is on the front left.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view¤t=maytikiprogram.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/maytikiprogram.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />Waiting before the show.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view¤t=maytikitikitemboavery.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/maytikitikitemboavery.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><br /><br />Avery played the part of a flower. The weather was gorgeous again and our hotel was right on the back entrance to Epcot, so we could walk right in. During the day we went for a few hours to a park, but then we splashed in the pool and hung out at the cabana at our hotel - the Dolphin. W.O.N.D.E.R.F.U.L!<br /><br />I took a lot of pictures, but the only one worth posting was of Avery's face paint on Sunday morning before we left. We always get her face painted and this time she wanted to be the unicorn.<br /><br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view¤t=aprildisneyfacepaint.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/aprildisneyfacepaint.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1139170046674780280.post-80525725152320100752010-06-26T11:27:00.004-04:002010-06-26T13:53:05.718-04:00April - School Birthday PartyAvery's friend from her class had a birthday party at a local kids play place. We seem to miss most of the class birthday parties, so when we were in town for this one, we made a point to go play with her friends for the afternoon.<br /><br />The party started off with a treasure hunt. They found things like you would find in a treasure chest.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=maygettingreadyfortreasurehunt.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/maygettingreadyfortreasurehunt.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br />Avery hunting - she is in the light blue shirt on the left side.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=maytreasurehunting.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/maytreasurehunting.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br />Carrying all her jewels.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=mayaveryelycebdaytreasure.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/mayaveryelycebdaytreasure.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br />After the treasure hunt the kids moved down to climb the cheese wall. That's when I looked over and Avery had burst into tears. She was terrified. She would not do it at all.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=maycheesewall.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/maycheesewall.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br />Here they are waiting to do the obstacle course. She was so worked up over the wall that she didn't want to do this either! I had to ask the instructor to please talk her into it. I knew she wanted to, but she was scared - maybe because it was all of her classmates. (?)<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=mayobstaclecoursewaiting.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/mayobstaclecoursewaiting.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br />Here she is very gingerly doing the course.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=mayobstaclecourseave.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/mayobstaclecourseave.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br />And the balance beam.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=maybalancebeam.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/maybalancebeam.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br />After this party, we decided that we needed to get Avery into some type of group sports so she could get over that fear. We have since joined another type of kids club and are now taking swimming and gymnastics (pics to follow). Her self-esteem had gotten so much better and she is really enjoying these types of outings now. However, she still has the fear of the bounce house. :-)Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1139170046674780280.post-90708602235677646682010-06-24T10:55:00.002-04:002010-06-24T11:08:22.870-04:00April - Impromptu Beach TripOne late Sunday afternoon we decided to head to the beach to have dinner and spash in the waves for a couple hours. We spent a ton of time in the yard enjoying few weeks of spring weather. It seemed we went from winter to summer in a matter of weeks. Ah, well, the joys of living in Florida.<br /><br />Avery on an early spring morning out in the yard with her Daddy. She is playing in the lettuce rows. The lettuce was great this year, but those first few weeks of baby lettuce goes quickly and we end up with lots of leggy lettuce. Next year we need to harvest early and share the love.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=aprilmorninginthelettuces.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/aprilmorninginthelettuces.jpg" /></a><br /><br />What a silly girl! This was my attempt to get some portraits with the plants around the yard. I love this little guy. I am totally surprised both our little orange furry friends are still around. They're always in the road and have no fear of dogs. I am trying not to get too attached, but this little guy has gotten to me. Avery likes the other one, Linus aka Liney-o-miney, Linferger. Avery's spring break was that week and I had to go to work, so it was great that mom was able to come and help out. Much to everyone's surprise Mom didn't even get sick when she was here. In the past she has picked up every little bug we were carrying.<br /><br /><br />Mom brought daffodils from her yard.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=aprilmomsdafodils.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/aprilmomsdafodils.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Strange expression, but she was loving the egg coloring this year.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=aprilaveryeggcoloring.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/aprilaveryeggcoloring.jpg" /></a><br /><br />The eggs in the background are white eggs and we also used our brown chicken eggs to experiment and make our own crazy colors. We had plans for the girls to do the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Bibbity</span> <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">Bobbity</span> Boutique after lunch. That was a lot of fun and they loved being Princesses for the day. The lines weren't terrible and the weather was quite nice. We managed to ride a lot of rides and generally wore ourselves out the way we always do at Disney. We ended the day with dinner at England in Epcot - which I thought was quite yummy and the British accents are always and added bonus. The girls were in that <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">pre</span>-exhausted giggly stage. I have saved 93 pictures over the last 4 months to upload to blogger. Get ready for some massive updating......<br /><br /><br />Avery received the cutest handmade hat from my friend Katie for her birthday. She loved modeling it for me (even though she was being super silly).<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=marchAveryhatretrofilter.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/marchAveryhatretrofilter.jpg" /></a><br /><br />We took a COLD boat trip in early March. It's hard to believe now it was ever this cold, but we were all wrapped up in blankets touring the intercoastal. It didn't stop us from having a GREAT time. We all love boating. Avery doesn't look too cold in these pics. As long as she is running around on the beach (and in this case it was a little inlet) she is a happy girl.<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=marchAveryrunningonmatansasbeach.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/marchAveryrunningonmatansasbeach.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=marchaverymatansasbeach.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/marchaverymatansasbeach.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=marchaveryplayingonmatansasbeach.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/marchaveryplayingonmatansasbeach.jpg" /></a><br /><br />White pelicans<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=marchflockofwhitepelicans.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/marchflockofwhitepelicans.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Matansas Inlet<br /><a href="http://s286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/?action=view&current=marchmatansasinlet.jpg" target="_blank"><img border="0" alt="Photobucket" src="http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll96/Springgill/Blog/marchmatansasinlet.jpg" /></a>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1139170046674780280.post-18132520923471608742010-03-07T10:45:00.011-05:002010-03-07T11:58:25.717-05:00What we've been up to. . .<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S5PKYBlgobI/AAAAAAAADIY/0jPfB6LUUb4/s1600-h/2010-Acura-MDX.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 143px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5445918888512496050" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S5PKYBlgobI/AAAAAAAADIY/0jPfB6LUUb4/s320/2010-Acura-MDX.jpg" /></a><br /><br />It's been 10 years and it's FINALLY time for Spring to get a new car. We have been looking at so many vehicles of the past few months and I think we have it down to the Acura MDX. It was the first car I test drove and I fell in love immediately. It is much smaller than we have now, but surprisingly Scott fits in it better than some of the larger SUV's we looked at. I even stalked a family in a parking lot yesterday to ask them how they liked their MDX. The raved about it and said we would be real happy with it.<br /><br />Not sure when we will actually get the one I want - I think they are in production for 6 weeks. I am hoping to get it for my birthday in May. :-)<br /><br />Work has been REAL busy lately. We have the most employees we have ever had. We may even have to add more people in accounting soon. I guess busy is good, but being short staffed and the stresses that go with that are not so good.<br /><br />Spring hasn't officially hit, but Scott is already in yard planning mode. When he is home, he is either sleeping, eating or working in the yard. Here he is building the raised planting beds (final pics to follow in another post).<br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S5PSpx6lcrI/AAAAAAAADIg/GF0OoG7LzYg/s1600-h/Scott+working+in+yard.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 242px; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5445927989636592306" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S5PSpx6lcrI/AAAAAAAADIg/GF0OoG7LzYg/s320/Scott+working+in+yard.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><p><br /><br />We had to harvest the spinach when Scott started working on the raised beds. He and Avery enjoying doing that together and I knew the class would enjoy it as well. It just didn't happen last year - we got busy and never mentioned it again. The month of February Avery's class was studying the continent of Europe and Ms. Christina asked if Scott would be able to make pasta this month.<br />Last Friday Scott packed up all the pasta making gear and took Avery to class for the morning presentation. I wish I could have gone, but I handed Avery my point and shoot camera and asked if she would get the teacher to take a few pictures for me. I forgot to change the settings on the camera, so some of the pictures look a little off. Even though they're not the best pictures in the world, I think you can still tell what a fun time the class had making and eating pasta.<br /><br />Scott cuts the cheese. :-) He took all fresh ingredients, even fresh eggs from our chickens!<br /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4qXWI2-RtI/AAAAAAAADHo/2aC4i44enmQ/s1600-h/Scott+prepping+pasta+making.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 240px; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5443329506221639378" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4qXWI2-RtI/AAAAAAAADHo/2aC4i44enmQ/s320/Scott+prepping+pasta+making.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Scott tried to get the kids to grate the Parmesan, but it was a little more difficult than he expected.<br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4qZjc1fF7I/AAAAAAAADH4/AU0DMsqH5jY/s1600-h/avery+parmesean.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 240px; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5443331933945665458" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4qZjc1fF7I/AAAAAAAADH4/AU0DMsqH5jY/s320/avery+parmesean.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Avery's teacher, Ms. Christina taking over the parmesan grating duty.<br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4qZivQ_7sI/AAAAAAAADHw/5AOn8h04rvQ/s1600-h/ms+christina+parmesean.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 240px; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5443331921713032898" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4qZivQ_7sI/AAAAAAAADHw/5AOn8h04rvQ/s320/ms+christina+parmesean.jpg" /></a><br /><br />I love this picture of the class listening to "Mr. Scott" talk about pasta making. After each rotation they stop on their birth month and the teacher asks if the child is that year and the kids respond. When the answer is no, the child keeps walking around the sun until they reach the birth year. After each year rotation, the parents are supposed to tell the class what was significant about the child's life during that year.<br /><br />Here are a few pictures from the celebration.<br /><br />Avery is excited to be the birthday girl. The other kids are volunteering to set up the birthday walk.<br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4A4uEtDwTI/AAAAAAAADFw/zq97OFDEuC0/s1600-h/Avery+smiling.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440410714051428658" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4A4uEtDwTI/AAAAAAAADFw/zq97OFDEuC0/s320/Avery+smiling.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Ms. Christina instructs the helpers.<br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4A4taD3tVI/AAAAAAAADFg/1EwIcqiBuXg/s1600-h/February+School+Bday+Celebration+059.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440410702604383570" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4A4taD3tVI/AAAAAAAADFg/1EwIcqiBuXg/s320/February+School+Bday+Celebration+059.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Clara sets up the light in the sun.<br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4A4smc512I/AAAAAAAADFY/85wqVJdwhyQ/s1600-h/Getting+out+the+sun.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440410688750737250" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4A4smc512I/AAAAAAAADFY/85wqVJdwhyQ/s320/Getting+out+the+sun.jpg" /></a><br /><br />The sun all lit up.<br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4A49k6eKDI/AAAAAAAADF4/P4RDM-zbkQI/s1600-h/The+sun+all+lit+up.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440410980395657266" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4A49k6eKDI/AAAAAAAADF4/P4RDM-zbkQI/s320/The+sun+all+lit+up.jpg" /></a> </div><div> </div><div>Avery volunteers to put out the October month.</div><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4A4Ga47XSI/AAAAAAAADEw/jHpmqA4Ukdk/s1600-h/Avery+sets+out+a+month.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440410032812023074" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4A4Ga47XSI/AAAAAAAADEw/jHpmqA4Ukdk/s320/Avery+sets+out+a+month.jpg" /></a> </div><br />Avery takes her first walk around the sun.<br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4A4-HrUjEI/AAAAAAAADGA/1MRO0eUsNMQ/s1600-h/walking+around+the+sun.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 240px; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5440410989727353922" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S4A4-HrUjEI/AAAAAAAADGA/1MRO0eUsNMQ/s320/walking+around+the+sun.jpg" /></a><br /><br />Avery just made her first trip around the sun. We spent the day in Orlando outlet mall shopping. It was a fun day for all of us. Sometimes a little retail therapy is all that is needed to help repair the WEEK FROM HELL. <br /><br />This is the card I made for Avery's school. With a little tech support from my friend, I managed to make it all by myself. :-) Thanks Katie.<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S3lER_etInI/AAAAAAAADEo/QUdqCXhmn18/s1600-h/Avery+Front+Vday+Card.jpg"><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 229px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5438453100915270258" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_wsTUKb8PMho/S3lER_etInI/AAAAAAAADEo/QUdqCXhmn18/s320/Avery+Front+Vday+Card.jpg" /></a><br /><div></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1
