Avery got a haircut this weekend. It was getting long and stringy and was really needing some help. We hope now it will start thickening up and growing more. I think she will have straight hair once the baby curls are cut out. I thought at one time she might be curly, but I think it's just the baby hair that was curly. It has some wave depending on the weather - kind of like her mommy.
We went out Saturday (just me and Ave) on a mission to find some railroad tracks around the area. Mostly for a photo shoot, but Avery's real intentions were to find a train. After driving all over the county, we actually did find a train in Hawthorne - we followed it up 301 until Cross Creek. She was thrilled with seeing a train and I was actually surprised to see one! We decided that maybe taking train track pictures would have to wait another day when the tracks were a little less busy. We went to a the park in Cross Creek and played a little and then had lunch at The Yearling, where she had two full bowls of cheese grits. We enjoyed listening to Willie Green play the blues. It was nice, just the two of us out on a little daytrip.
Below are a few pictures from the weekend (in no particular order):
She was being sassy to her mom, she did not like me stopping to take her picture when she wanted me to run with her.
